To advise Alberta industry users that, effective October 8, 2026, new data columns will be added to the Facility Infrastructure Report and the Licence Report to support Sulphur Balance (S-30) reporting in Petrinex

Effective October 8, 2026, enhancements as directed by the Alberta Energy Regulator were implemented in Petrinex to now validate the Volumetric Deficiency Invoice Review ID field when the field is left blank on the Edit Volumetric

Effective October 8, 2026, enhancements as directed by the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) were implemented in Petrinex to re-validate reported production and injection hours when a well status is changed to CYCL. Where the reported hours exceed the hours available for the production month, Petrinex will prevent the status change.

This tip is to inform of a change to the reporting requirements for Alberta operators who deliver Crown royalty volumes held by the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission (APMC) to out-of-province (BC/SK) facilities.

To advise all Alberta gas plant operators, and any agents reporting on their behalf, that effective October 8, 2026, the monthly Sulphur Balance (S-30) Report should be submitted to the AER through Petrinex rather than through the AER's Digital Data Submission (DDS) system.
